Orion magazine is a "forum for thoughtful and creative ideas and practical examples of how we might live justly, wisely and artfully on Earth." Strongly rooted in science, it explores the interactions between people and nature in essays, poetry, literature, and the visual arts. Contributors include such well-known environmentalists, journalists, and literary authors, as Wendell Berry, Barbara Kingsolver, Scott Russell Sanders, and Sandra Steingraber. Published six times a year in stunning layout, Orion is a magazine you won't be able to toss into the recycling bin, but rather carefully hand down to the next person to read and pass along.
The library has most issues from v.14 (1995) to the present. Search for articles using the ReadersGuideAbs database in FirstSearch, or better yet, go to the shelves and get lost in the pages of this classy magazine.
